AALBORG, Denmark (Interstat) — Aalborg BK will look to extend its dominance over Middelfart when the teams meet Friday in a Danish 2. Division match at Aalborg Stadium.

Aalborg (5-2-3 in its last 10 matches) has won all three head-to-head meetings this season, outscoring Middelfart 11-3. The most recent encounter was a 5-2 victory for Aalborg on the road April 4. Aalborg also posted a 4-0 home win Sept. 14 and a 2-1 victory Nov. 1.

Middelfart enters the match mired in a deep slump after a 3-0 loss Sunday at Vanløse. The defeat extended a difficult stretch for the visitors, who have lost eight of their past 10 league matches. The lone wins in that span were a 2-0 result at Næsby on April 19 and a 2-0 decision over Aarhus Fremad on April 22. Following that victory, Middelfart suffered three consecutive losses — 5-1 at Aarhus Fremad, 2-1 at B93 Kobenhavn and 1-0 at home to Aarhus Fremad — before the loss to Vanløse.

In its past 10 games, Middelfart has been outscored 24-8.

Aalborg’s most recent result was a 1-1 draw Friday at Hobro. That result extended Aalborg’s unbeaten run to four matches (2-2-0). Over that stretch, Aalborg has outscored opponents 10-5. Before the draw at Hobro, Aalborg defeated B93 Kobenhavn 3-2 on April 23 and Aarhus Fremad 3-1 on April 18, following a 1-0 victory at Hobro on April 10.
