Hoffenheim vs Werder Bremen

HOFFENHEIM, Germany (Interstat) — Hoffenheim will host Werder Bremen in a Bundesliga match Saturday, May 9, 2026, with both teams seeking to rebound from mixed results.

Werder Bremen enters the game after a 3-1 loss at home to Augsburg on May 2. That defeat followed a 1-1 draw at Stuttgart on April 26. The visitors have shown inconsistency, posting a 4-1 win at Union Berlin on March 8 but also suffering a 3-0 loss at RB Leipzig the same day. They have won three of their past six matches.

Hoffenheim played to a 3-3 draw with Stuttgart on May 2, a result preceded by a 2-1 loss at Jahn Regensburg on the same date. The home side has struggled for form, losing three of its past five games, including a 3-0 defeat to Ingolstadt II on April 25 and a 3-1 loss to MSV Duisburg on April 18. Hoffenheim did earn a 3-1 win at Augsburg on April 17.

The teams have split their two most recent meetings. Hoffenheim won 2-0 at Werder Bremen on Jan. 27, 2026, avenging a 4-2 loss at Werder Bremen on Nov. 7, 2025. No match has been played at Hoffenheim’s home stadium since that November contest.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 2-1 victory for Werder Bremen.

Looking ahead, Werder Bremen returns home to face Borussia Dortmund on May 16. Hoffenheim plays two road matches that day: at Wehen Wiesbaden and at Borussia M’gladbach.
