STUTTGART (Interstat) — Maximilian Mittelstädt scored and Chris Führich had an assist as Stuttgart defeated Bayer Leverkusen 3-1 on Saturday in a Bundesliga match at MHPArena.

Aleix García put Bayer Leverkusen ahead in the first minute, but Stuttgart responded quickly. Ermedin Demirović equalized in the fifth minute, Deniz Undav scored in the 58th minute and Mittelstädt added a goal. The win moved Stuttgart’s Bundesliga record to 22-11-7, while Bayer Leverkusen dropped to 20-12-7. Across all competitions, Stuttgart improved to 51-30-16 and Bayer Leverkusen fell to 29-15-12.

Yellow cards were issued to Chris Führich in the 80th minute, Tiago Tomás in the seventh minute of stoppage time and Exequiel Palacios also in the seventh minute of stoppage time.
