LEIPZIG (Interstat) — Ridle Baku scored one goal and Rômulo added another as RB Leipzig defeated Union Berlin 3-1 on Friday at Red Bull Arena in a Bundesliga match.

Max Finkgräfe opened the scoring in the 22nd minute for Leipzig, but Union Berlin equalized three minutes later through Rômulo. Baku put Leipzig ahead for good in the 63rd minute, and Danilho Doekhi sealed the victory with a goal in the 78th minute.

Christoph Baumgartner assisted one of the goals for Leipzig.

Referees issued two yellow cards in the contest. Leipzig’s Christoph Baumgartner was booked in the 34th minute, and Union Berlin’s Diogo Leite received a yellow in the 84th minute.

The win improved Leipzig’s Bundesliga record to 21 wins, 10 losses and 4 draws. Union Berlin fell to 10 wins, 17 losses and 7 draws in league play.
