RAUDONDVARIS, Lithuania (Interstat) — The Faroe Islands U19 women’s national team delivered a commanding 5-0 victory over Moldova U19 in a UEFA U19 Championship qualification match Wednesday at Raudondvario Stadionas.

Defender Sara Benjaminsen led the offensive onslaught with a second-half hat trick, scoring in the 76th minute and again in stoppage time. Teammate Birita Mohr, also a defender, added a goal in the 56th minute. Midfielder Kára Askham Sigurðsson opened the scoring just after halftime in the 50th minute.

All three of Moldova’s substitutes received yellow cards in the physical contest. The Faroe Islands, playing as the home team at a neutral site, improved their qualification record to two wins and three losses. Moldova remains winless through five matches in the competition.
