TIRANË, Albania (Interstat) — Vllaznia Shkoder delivered a surprise result in an Albanian Cup match Wednesday, defeating host FC Dinamo City 1-0 at Air Albania Stadium.

The lone goal came just before halftime in the 43rd minute, scored by Bismark C. Kwarena. The victory defied pregame projections, as statistical models heavily favored Vllaznia Shkoder to win but had predicted a higher-scoring affair.

The match was the first in the competition for both sides this season. Neither team had registered a win or loss across all competitions entering the contest, making this the opening result for each club. FC Dinamo City pressured for an equalizer, including during second-half stoppage time, but failed to find the net.
