NICOSIA, Cyprus (Interstat) — Apollon Limassol defeated rival APOEL 3-2 on Tuesday in a 1. Division match at Neo GSP Stadium, overcoming a late equalizer to secure the road victory.

Pedro Marques opened the scoring for Apollon in the 35th minute. APOEL’s Konstantinos Poursaitidis leveled before halftime. Josef Kvída restored Apollon’s lead in the 64th, but APOEL’s Konstantinos Laifis made it 2-2 in the 84th. Marques sealed the win with his second goal just four minutes later.
