AJMAN, United Arab Emirates (Interstat) — Al Wasl SC scored twice in three minutes late in the second half to secure a 3-1 victory over Ajman in an Arabian Gulf League match Saturday at Shaikh Rashid bin Saeed Stadium.

Miguel Borja opened the scoring for the visitors in the 37th minute. The home side equalized in the 74th minute through substitute Ali Saleh. Al Wasl responded decisively, with goalkeeper Ali Al Hosani scoring what proved to be the winner just three minutes later. The visitors added another goal before full time.

The result improves Al Wasl’s league record to nine wins, six draws and five losses. Ajman falls to eight wins, five draws and 12 losses in the competition. Four yellow cards were issued during the match.
