AARHUS (Interstat) — Martin Huldahl scored in the 20th minute and Hobro held on for a 1-0 victory over Aarhus Fremad on Sunday in a 2. Division match at Riisvangen Stadion.

Huldahl, a substitute, also recorded an assist. Fellow substitutes Christian Enemark and Zander Hyltoft each earned an assist. The goal came early as Huldahl beat the Aarhus Fremad goalkeeper. Hobro’s defense then absorbed pressure from the home side, which pushed forward but could not find the equalizer. All three substitutes were booked: Huldahl in the 26th minute, Enemark in the 43rd and Hyltoft in the 70th.

The win improved Hobro’s league record to nine wins, nine losses and six draws. Aarhus Fremad dropped to eight wins, eight losses and seven draws. Across all competitions, Hobro now has 15 wins, 11 losses and eight draws, while Aarhus Fremad has 11 wins, 11 losses and nine draws.

Hobro entered Sunday following a 2-1 loss to HB Koge on April 22. Prior to that, the team routed Middelfart 6-0 on April 18, lost 1-0 to Aalborg BK on April 10, beat B93 Kobenhavn 2-0 on April 3 and edged Middelfart 1-0 on March 21. Other recent results include a 1-0 win over Aalborg BK on March 14, a 2-1 loss to Kolding IF on March 6, a 1-1 draw with HB Koge on Feb. 27, and a scoreless draw with SfB-Oure on Feb. 1. Earlier in the season, Hobro defeated B93 Kobenhavn 1-0 on Nov. 28, lost to Hvidovre 1-0 on Nov. 20, and beat Aarhus Fremad 2-0 on Nov. 7.

Aarhus Fremad came off a 5-1 win over Middelfart on April 22. That followed a 3-1 loss to Aalborg BK on April 18, a 3-1 victory over B93 Kobenhavn on April 11, a 2-0 loss to HB Koge on April 6, and a 1-0 loss to Hillerod on March 21. The team also drew 0-0 with AC Horsens on March 14, beat Aalborg BK 1-0 on March 6, defeated Middelfart 4-1 on Feb. 28 and tied Kolding IF 1-1 on Nov. 30. Other results include a 2-2 draw with HB Koge on Nov. 23, a 2-0 loss to Hobro on Nov. 7, a 0-0 draw with Hvidovre on Nov. 1, and a 1-0 loss to Esbjerg fB on Oct. 25.

In the season series, Hobro now leads 2-1 after winning 2-0 on Nov. 7 and 2-1 on Sept. 24. Aarhus Fremad won 3-0 on Sept. 20.

Hobro’s upcoming schedule includes a match at Aalborg BK on May 1, a home game against B93 Kobenhavn on May 8, a home game against Aarhus Fremad on May 14, a road game at HB Koge on May 24 and a home game versus Middelfart on May 30. Aarhus Fremad visits Middelfart on May 1, hosts HB Koge on May 9, travels to Hobro on May 14, hosts Aalborg BK on May 22 and visits B93 Kobenhavn on May 30.

Interstat’s game simulator had projected a final score of Aarhus Fremad 2, Hobro 1. Interstat’s ELO system gave Aarhus Fremad a 75.90 percent probability to win.
