MIDDELFART, Denmark (Interstat) — Hobro opened its Danish 2. Division season with a commanding 6-0 victory over Middelfart on Saturday at Middelfart Stadion.

The visitors dominated from the start, with all six goals coming from substitutes. Søren Andreasen opened the scoring in the 26th minute. Runar Hauge, Martin Huldahl, Mikkel Pedersen and Marco Bruhn also scored, with Huldahl adding a second for a brace. Forward Malthe Boesen provided two assists.

Hobro’s victory defied a pregame projection from Interstat that forecast a 1-1 draw, though its ELO system gave Hobro a 74.7% chance to win. Both teams received first-half yellow cards.

The result gives Hobro a winning start in league play, while Middelfart begins its campaign with a defeat.
