STOCKPORT, England (Interstat) — Substitute Tyler Roberts scored in the 63rd minute to give Mansfield Town a 1-0 victory over Stockport County in a League One match Tuesday at Edgeley Park.

The decisive goal came against the run of probability, as statistical models heavily favored the hosts. Roberts finished a play assisted by Ethan Pye to secure the three points for the visitors.

The match was a physical affair, featuring eight yellow cards. The result gives Mansfield Town a winning start to its League One campaign, while Stockport County begins with a defeat.
