SIHANOUKVILLE, Cambodia (Interstat) — Kirivong Sok Sen opened its C-League season with a 1-0 road victory over Life Sihanoukville on Sunday at Life Stadium.

The decisive moment came in the 11th minute when substitute Huy Sophearak scored the game’s only goal. The play was assisted by goalkeeper Say Chantola, who recorded a rare assist, and defender Vann Vit.

The result defied pregame projections, which heavily favored the home side. Kirivong Sok Sen’s defense held firm despite a physical match that produced five yellow cards, including one for Vit in the 34th minute.

With the win, Kirivong Sok Sen begins the campaign 1-0, while Life Sihanoukville starts 0-1.
