FC Dinamo City vs Vora

TIRANA, Albania (Interstat) — FC Dinamo City hosts Vora on Wednesday in an Albanian 1st Division matchup that carries implications for both clubs’ positioning in the season’s final stretch.

The sides meet at 7 p.m. local time at Dinamo City’s home ground, with FC Dinamo City seeking to extend a dominant run against Vora. In three head-to-head meetings this season, FC Dinamo City has won all three by a combined 6-2 margin.

The most recent encounter, on Feb. 28, saw FC Dinamo City defeat Vora 2-1. A Dec. 19 matchup produced the same result for the home side, while an Oct. 24 win was the most lopsided of the three, a 2-0 clean sheet.

Both teams enter Wednesday’s contest following victories on Saturday.

FC Dinamo City (4-5-3 in its last 12 league matches) defeated Egnatia Rrogozhine 2-0 at home on May 2. Goalkeeper Elvis Kotherja kept the clean sheet, and forwards Redi Kasa and Ardit Hila scored the goals. The victory snapped a four-match winless streak for FC Dinamo City, which had gone 0-2-2 since a March 21 scoreless draw at Vllaznia Shkoder. Over that stretch, the club managed just one goal in losses to Teuta Durres, Partizani Tirana and Flamurtari.

Vora (7-3-2 in its last 12) enters with momentum after a 4-2 road win at AF Elbasani on Saturday. The result extended Vora’s unbeaten run to eight matches (6-2-0), with the last loss coming Feb. 28 at FC Dinamo City. Since that defeat, Vora has outscored opponents 12-4, including shutout victories over Egnatia Rrogozhine and Teuta Durres, and drew with Vllaznia Shkoder and Partizani Tirana.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 1-1 draw.

Wednesday’s match is the only contest on the league schedule for both teams this week. Vora returns home next to face Bylis on Sunday, May 10. FC Dinamo City plays two road matches next week, visiting Partizani Tirana on Sunday, May 10, and Egnatia Rrogozhine on Wednesday, May 13.
