DURRËS, Albania (Interstat) — Rimal Haxhiu’s 76th-minute goal lifted KF Tirana to a 1-0 victory over Teuta Durres on Saturday at Stadiumi Niko Dovana in an Albanian 1st Division match.

KF Tirana improved to 6-10-9 in league play and 10-14-11 overall. Teuta Durres fell to 5-10-6 in the division and 12-13-13 across all competitions.

The result avenged Teuta’s 1-0 win over Tirana on Feb. 22 and extended the visitors’ recent edge in the series, which now stands at two wins, one draw and one loss for Tirana in the last four meetings.

Tirana entered the match having won two of its previous three league games, while Teuta had lost three straight in the division. The hosts, playing in Durrës, could not find an equalizer after Haxhiu’s strike.
