Egnatia Rrogozhine vs Bylis

ROGOZHINË, Albania (Interstat) — Daniel Adjessa scored a stunning second-half hat trick in a decisive 3-0 victory for Egnatia Rrogozhine over Bylis in an Albanian 1st Division match on Saturday.

The contest, played before a home crowd at Egnatia Arena, was a tightly contested defensive battle for over an hour before Adjessa single-handedly broke the game open. His three goals in the final 21 minutes, including two after the 88th minute, secured a crucial three points for a title-chasing Egnatia side and extended Bylis’s struggles on the road.

The result solidifies Egnatia Rrogozhine’s strong position in the league table. The club now holds a record of 12 wins, two losses and six draws in domestic league play this season, and a combined 20 wins, seven losses and 10 draws across all competitions. Bylis, meanwhile, sees its league record fall to five wins, 10 losses and three draws, with an overall mark of nine wins, 17 losses and nine draws.

For much of the match, the visiting side from Ballsh frustrated Egnatia’s attackers, keeping the game scoreless and appearing to be on track for a valuable away point. The deadlock was finally shattered in the 69th minute when Adjessa found his first goal of the afternoon. The match seemed headed for a narrow finish until Adjessa struck again in the 88th minute, effectively sealing the outcome. He completed his personal triumph deep into stoppage time, scoring his third in the 93rd minute to put a emphatic stamp on the performance.

The lopsided scoreline defied the recent history between the two clubs. In their previous meeting just over two months ago on Jan. 24, the teams played to a 2-2 draw in Ballsh. However, Egnatia has now proven dominant in this fixture overall this season, having also won 5-1 at home in November and 1-0 away in September. The victory continues Egnatia’s formidable home form and hands Bylis its second consecutive defeat following a win over Flamurtari on March 21.

The match outcome heavily favored Egnatia Rrogozhine against statistical projections. While Interstat’s game simulator had predicted a 1-1 draw, its ELO rating system gave the home side a 91.5% probability of victory, a forecast Adjessa and his teammates fulfilled in convincing fashion.

Egnatia Rrogozhine will look to maintain its momentum when it hosts AF Elbasani on Wednesday. Bylis, seeking to improve its mid-table standing, faces a challenging schedule ahead, with its next match at home against FC Dinamo City on April 13.
