YEREVAN, Armenia (Interstat) — Host Yerevan and Shirak played to a 0-0 draw in an Armenian Premier League match Sunday at the Yerevan Football Academy.

The result left both teams struggling in the league table. Yerevan midfielder Petros Alekyan and substitute Suren Tsarukyan were noted for active performances in the stalemate.

The match featured four yellow cards, issued to Rudik Mkrtchyan, Alekyan, Tsarukyan and Sergey Manukyan. The game defied a pre-match statistical projection that heavily favored Yerevan to win and forecast a 2-2 scoreline.
