BERGEN, Norway (Interstat) — SK Brann overcame an early deficit to defeat Aalesunds FK 2-1 on Wednesday in the NM Cupen at Brann Stadion.

Aalesund’s Simen Haram opened the scoring in the 10th minute. Brann equalized before halftime with a 39th-minute goal from Ulrik Mathisen. The home side completed the comeback in the 78th minute when Elias Hagen netted the decisive goal.

The result defied a pregame projection from Interstat, whose simulator had forecast a 1-0 win for Aalesund. Brann, which had a 61% win probability according to the same service’s ELO system, improved its record across all competitions. Aalesund remains winless.
