VIZELA, Portugal (Interstat) — Farense earned a 2-0 away victory over Vizela on Sunday in a Segunda Liga match at Estádio do Vizela, defying pregame projections.

Claudio opened the scoring in the 31st minute. Jaiminho sealed the win for the visitors in the second minute of second-half stoppage time. The result marked Farense’s second consecutive win in the Portuguese second division and completed a league double over Vizela, having also won the previous meeting 2-0 in December.

Pre-match analytics heavily favored the hosts, with one statistical model giving Vizela a 70% probability to win and projecting a 1-1 draw. Instead, Farense’s efficient performance secured three points, improving its league record to 10 wins, 13 losses and six draws. Vizela’s record moved to 11 wins, 10 losses and eight draws.
