FARO, Portugal (Interstat) — Feirense opened its Segunda Liga season with a 1-0 road victory over Farense on Saturday, April 4, 2026, defying pre-match projections. The lone goal came in the 72nd minute from João Marcos, securing the win at Estádio de São Luís. The result handed Feirense a winning start in league play, while Farense began its campaign with a loss. The outcome contrasted with a Interstat game simulator, which had forecast a 1-1 draw, and their ELO system, which gave the home side a slight edge to win. Both clubs’ overall records across all competitions mirror their opening league results.
