AR-RIFĀ’, Bahrain (Interstat) — A stoppage-time penalty secured a dramatic 1-1 draw for Al Shabab against Al Najma in a Bahrain Premier League match Thursday at Stād Al Bahrayn Al Watanī.

Ali Al Doseri gave the visiting side an early lead in the 26th minute, a deficit that held until the final moments. Deep into added time, Al Shabab was awarded a penalty, which Adnan Al Amoudi converted in the 90+6th minute to salvage a point.

The result leaves Al Shabab with a record of 5-7-7 in the league, while Al Najma moves to 6-6-4. The draw defied pre-match projections that heavily favored a home victory.
