PSG Dominates Nantes in Ligue 1 Season Opener

PARIS (Interstat) — Paris Saint-Germain opened its Ligue 1 season with a commanding 3-0 victory over Nantes on Wednesday at Parc des Princes. The hosts controlled the match from the start, easily surpassing statistical projections that heavily favored them.

Désiré Doué opened the scoring in the 37th minute, assisted by Warren Zaïre-Emery. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia doubled the lead just before halftime in the 50th minute. PSG added a third goal later to seal the dominant performance.

The result marked a winning start for PSG under the French league’s organization, while Nantes began its campaign with a loss. The match featured three first-half yellow cards, including one for Zaïre-Emery. Interstat’s pregame simulator had projected a closer 2-1 PSG win.
