Lazio Women Face Sassuolo in Serie A Clash

ROME (Interstat) — Lazio Women host US Sassuolo Calcio on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in a Serie A Women matchup that carries contrasting momentum for the two sides.

Lazio enters the contest with a recent 5-2 defeat at Internazionale Milano on April 4, a result that snapped a mixed stretch. The Rome-based side has compiled a 2-1-2 record over its last five matches, including a 2-1 win over Roma’s crosstown rival, a 1-0 victory at Napoli, and a 2-2 draw with AC Milan. Prior to that, Lazio posted a 0-0 stalemate with Juventus and a 3-0 win over Fiorentina, though it also suffered a 1-0 loss at Ternana. In their most recent head-to-head meeting, Lazio defeated Sassuolo 2-1 on Dec. 8, 2025.

Sassuolo, meanwhile, is reeling. The visitors were blanked 3-0 by AC Milan on April 3, extending a difficult season defined by defensive struggles. Over their last eight outings, Sassuolo has managed just one win — a 1-0 decision at Genoa on Dec. 14 — with six losses and a 1-1 draw at Ternana. The side has been outscored 12-3 in that span, including defeats to Inter Milan (3-0), Fiorentina (3-2), Como (2-0), Napoli (2-0) and Roma (2-1).

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 2-0 victory for Lazio, reflecting the home side’s stronger recent form.

Following Saturday, Lazio travels to Parma on May 3, while Sassuolo hosts Genoa on May 2.

Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. local time at Stadio centro sportivo di Formello.
