Harksheide vs Paloma

Preview: Paloma Visits Harksheide in Key Oberliga Clash

HARKSHIEDE, Germany (Interstat) — Two sides trending in opposite directions will meet Tuesday when SC Paloma visits TSV Nord Harksheide in an Oberliga Hamburg football match.

The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. local start on March 24.

Paloma (6-3-5) arrives looking to rebound from a disappointing 3-1 road loss to Eimsbuetteler on Friday. That result snapped a modest two-game unbeaten run for the visitors, who had previously secured a convincing 4-0 win at Cursl-Neuengamme on March 7. Their form has been inconsistent, however, with just one win in their last four matches across all competitions.

Harksheide (3-2-9), meanwhile, is mired in a severe slump. The home side has lost five consecutive matches, most recently a 2-1 defeat to Sasel at home on Friday. Their defense has been a particular concern, conceding 14 goals during that losing streak, including a 4-0 loss to Buchholz and a 5-0 defeat to Suderelbe earlier in the campaign.

The statistical outlook favors the visitors. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 2-1 victory for Paloma.

Historically, Paloma has shown a stronger attacking threat this season, including a five-goal outburst against Buchholz in November. Harksheide’s task will be to shore up a leaky back line and find momentum in front of its home supporters. Their last victory was a 2-1 result against Turkiye on March 4.

A win for Paloma would solidify its position in the upper half of the Oberliga table, while Harksheide is desperate for points to climb away from the relegation zone.

The Oberliga is the fifth tier of the German football league system.
