BANGOR, Northern Ireland (Interstat) — Bangor hosts Portadown on Saturday, April 25, in a Premiership matchup at Clandeboye Park, with both sides seeking to rebound from lopsided losses last weekend.

The home side enters the 3 p.m. kickoff after a 3-0 defeat at Carrick Rangers on April 18. That result extended a mixed run for Bangor, which has drawn four of its last six matches while managing just one win in that span — a 1-0 decision at Dungannon Swifts on March 21.

Portadown also arrives off a positive result, a 2-1 victory at Ballymena United on Saturday, April 18. That win snapped a four-match winless streak for the visitors, who had gone 0-2-2 since a scoreless draw with Crusaders on March 21.

The season series has tilted in Bangor’s favor. The home team claimed a 1-0 win at Portadown on Jan. 17, 2026, and the sides have played to 1-1 draws in three of their last four meetings. Bangor’s most decisive victory came Sept. 19, 2025, a 4-1 win at Portadown.

Portadown’s road form has been inconsistent. The visitors have lost four of their last five away matches, including a 4-0 defeat at Crusaders on April 11 and a 3-0 loss at Glenavon on Feb. 28. Their only away win in that stretch came at Ballymena United.

Bangor has struggled to generate offense in recent weeks, managing just one goal in its last three matches across all competitions. The defense has held firm in draws against Glenavon (0-0 on April 11) and Ballymena United (0-0 on April 15), but the team has been shut out in two of its last three outings.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 2-1 win for Bangor. The model gives the home side a 48% chance of victory, with a 28% likelihood of a draw and 24% odds for a Portadown win.

Weather forecasts call for partly cloudy skies and temperatures around 12 degrees Celsius (54 degrees Fahrenheit), with light winds expected.

Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. local time at Clandeboye Park.
