LONDON (Interstat) — Crystal Palace delivered a commanding 3-0 victory over Italy’s Fiorentina in their UEFA Europa Conference League match Thursday at Selhurst Park, defying heavy pregame odds.

The home side, projected by analysts to lose, took control early. Defender Tyrick Mitchell opened the scoring in the 31st minute. The match remained tight until stoppage time, when forward Ismaïla Sarr sealed the win with a goal at the 90-minute mark. A late own goal by Fiorentina completed the rout.

The result marked a successful European debut for Palace in the competition, while Fiorentina, a tournament favorite, began its campaign with a defeat. The match featured six yellow cards, three for each side.
