Genoa vs Como
GENOA, Italy (Interstat) — Genoa and Como meet Sunday in a Serie A clash with both teams seeking consistency as the season enters its final stretch.
The match at Stadio Luigi Ferraris on April 26, 2026, features two sides separated by just one point in the standings entering the weekend. A game simulator run by Interstat projects a 1-1 draw.
Como enters the contest on the heels of a 2-1 loss at Sassuolo on April 17, a result that snapped a three-match unbeaten run. The visitors settled for scoreless draws at Udinese on April 6 and at home against Sampdoria on March 22 — part of a season-long trend. Como has played to five 0-0 draws this campaign, a league high.
But the club has shown offensive firepower at times. Como routed Pisa 5-0 on March 22 and defeated AS Roma 2-1 on March 15. A 2-0 win at Juventus on Feb. 21 also stands as a signature result. Como’s only loss in its past four matches was the defeat at Sassuolo, which followed a dramatic 4-3 setback against Inter Milan on April 12 in which Como rallied from three goals down before falling short.
Genoa comes in off a 2-1 win at Pisa on April 19, its second victory in three matches. The Grifone have been inconsistent, however. A 2-0 home win over Sassuolo on April 12 was preceded by a 2-0 loss at Juventus on April 6 and a 2-0 defeat at Udinese on March 20.
Genoa’s form at home has been erratic. The club lost 2-0 to Inter Milan on Feb. 28 and played a 0-0 draw with US Cremonese on Feb. 15, but also defeated Torino 3-0 on Feb. 22 and AS Roma 2-1 on March 8.
The sides played to a 1-1 draw on Sept. 15, 2025, in Como. Genoa will aim to replicate the attacking efficiency it showed in its 3-0 win over Torino, while Como’s defensive solidity — 10 clean sheets in 33 league matches — could prove decisive.
Both teams face challenging schedules ahead. Como hosts Napoli on May 2, then travels to Verona on May 10. Genoa visits Atalanta on May 2 before going to Fiorentina on May 10. Sunday’s result could significantly shape positioning for the final month of the season.
