Strefezza, McTominay Score as Parma and Napoli Draw in Serie A Opener
PARMA, Italy (Interstat) — Parma and Napoli opened their Serie A campaigns with a 1-1 draw Sunday at Stadio Ennio Tardini.
Gabriel Strefezza gave the hosts an immediate lead, scoring just one minute into the match. Napoli found its equalizer in the 60th minute when substitute Scott McTominay finished a chance created by Parma defender Alessandro Circati, who was later shown a yellow card in the 83rd minute.
The result matched the projection from Interstat’s game simulator. Their system had given Parma a narrow 51 percent probability to win. Both clubs begin the season with identical records of zero wins, zero losses and one draw in league play.
