ROME (Interstat) — Donyell Malen scored three goals Friday to power AS Roma to a 3-0 victory over Pisa in a Serie A match at Stadio Olimpico.

Malen opened the scoring just three minutes into the contest and added goals in the 43rd and 52nd minutes, single-handedly securing the win. The result defied a pregame projection from Interstat, whose simulator had forecast a 1-1 draw despite giving Roma a 93% probability to win.

The match featured yellow cards for Pisa’s Idrissa Touré in the 21st minute and Roma’s Zeki Çelik in the 50th. Roma begins its league campaign with a win, while Pisa starts with a loss.
