Late Panayotov Goal Lifts CSKA Sofia to Road Win Over Montana

(Interstat) — A stoppage-time goal from Petko Panayotov gave PFK CSKA Sofia a 1-0 victory over Montana in a First League match Wednesday at Stadion Ogosta.

The Bulgarian league contest appeared destined for a draw until Panayotov broke the deadlock in the fourth minute of added time. The result extended CSKA Sofia’s strong league form, improving its record to 11-4-6 this season. Montana, which has struggled throughout the campaign, fell to 3-15-6.

The narrow away win matched the pregame projection from Interstat, which gave CSKA Sofia a 58.4% probability to win. CSKA Sofia next hosts rival PFK Levski Sofia on April 13. Montana is set to host PFK Slavia Sofia on April 16.
