ROGOZHINË, Albania (Interstat) — Montenegro U19 opened its UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship qualification campaign with a commanding 5-0 victory over Liechtenstein U19 on Sunday at Egnatia Arena.

Forward Darija Čižek led the rout with two goals and an assist, while midfielder Jana Merdović added two early scores. Jelena Nikčević netted the final goal in the 56th minute. Montenegro’s attack overwhelmed Liechtenstein, which saw three substitutes receive yellow cards in the second half.

The result exceeded a pregame projection of a 4-0 Montenegro win. Montenegro begins the qualifying group with a win, while Liechtenstein starts with a loss.
