STARA PAZOVA, Serbia (Interstat) — Iceland and Finland played to a 1-1 draw in a UEFA Under-19 Championship qualification match Thursday at Sportski Centar Fudbalskog Saveza Srbije Polje 4.

Finland’s Helmi Kumpulainen, a substitute, opened the scoring in the 61st minute. Iceland equalized just five minutes later through midfielder Edith Kristín Kristjánsdóttir, assisted by forward Freyja Stefánsdóttir. Kumpulainen, who also assisted on Finland’s goal, received a yellow card in the 41st minute. Stefánsdóttir was booked in the 68th.

The result left both teams with identical overall records of one win, two losses and one draw in the competition. The draw aligned with a pre-match projection from Interstat, which gave Iceland a slight edge to win.
