ISTANBUL (Interstat) — Sariyer opened its 1. Lig season with a commanding 4-0 victory over Hatayspor on Saturday at Yusuf Ziya Öniş Stadyumu. The result defied a pregame projection of a 1-1 draw by Interstat, which had given Sariyer a 91 percent probability to win.

Moustafa Camara opened the scoring in the 28th minute. André Biyogho Poko doubled the lead before halftime in the 53rd. Second-half goals from Emeka Friday Eze in the 69th and Aytaç Kara in the 83rd sealed the rout. The match featured six yellow cards, four shown to Hatayspor players. Both clubs opened their league campaigns with the lopsided result.
