Chambly-Oise vs Blois Foot 41
CHAMBLY, France (Interstat) — Chambly-Oise opened its National 2 campaign with a 2-1 victory over Blois Foot 41 on Friday, overcoming a second-half red card to secure three points at Stade Walter Luzi.
The home side struck early, with forward Anthony Petrilli finding the net in just the 6th minute to give Chambly-Oise a rapid advantage. The match grew increasingly tense, with three yellow cards issued in a 17-minute span midway through the first half. Blois Foot 41 managed to level the score just before halftime, as substitute Théo Mothmora converted a chance in the 43rd minute, sending the teams into the break tied 1-1.
The match’s pivotal moment arrived in the 65th minute when Chambly-Oise defender Ababacar Paye, who had been booked earlier, received a second yellow card, reducing his side to 10 men. Despite the numerical disadvantage, Chambly-Oise found a winner just four minutes later. Forward Amadou Diallo scored in the 69th minute to restore the home team’s lead, a goal that ultimately decided the contest.
Blois Foot 41, which finished the match with six yellow cards, could not find an equalizer against the shorthanded hosts, even with nine minutes of stoppage time announced. The defeat leaves Blois Foot 41 with a record of 0-1 to start the National 2 season, while Chambly-Oise begins 1-0.
The result continued a difficult run for the visiting side, which has now recorded just one win in its last 13 matches across all competitions, a stretch dating back to early December. Their lone victory in that period was a 1-0 home win over Entente SSG on Jan. 24. Chambly-Oise, meanwhile, bounced back from a 1-0 loss to Haguenau in its previous match.
Key contributions came from several substitutes for the winning side. Nathan Tronchet, Nathan Bourdin and Noé Sommer each recorded an assist for Chambly-Oise. For Blois Foot 41, midfielder Dylan N’Zeza provided an assist, while substitute Lakhdar Belal also tallied an assist on his team’s lone goal.
The match was a reversal of the teams’ previous meeting this season, a 0-0 draw in Blois back on Oct. 4.
National 2 is the fourth tier of the French football league system. The competition resumed this month following a winter break.
