WINTERTHUR, Switzerland (Interstat) — Grasshopper II opened its Super League season with a 2-0 away victory over Winterthur on Saturday at Stadion Schützenwiese.

Second-half substitute Jonathan Asp Jensen broke a scoreless deadlock in the 78th minute. Fellow substitute Michael Frey sealed the win deep in stoppage time, scoring in the 101st minute. Both goals were assisted by other second-half entrants, with Tim Meyer setting up Asp Jensen and Dirk Abels providing for Frey.

The match was a physical affair, featuring 10 yellow cards. Winterthur, which failed to score at home, begins its campaign with a loss. The result slightly outperformed statistical projections, which favored Grasshopper II but anticipated a closer contest.
