Pärnu JK Vaprus vs Tartu Welco

Preview: Estonian Cup Quarterfinal Set for Pärnu

TARTU, Estonia (Interstat) — A spot in the Estonian Cup semifinals will be on the line Tuesday when Pärnu JK Vaprus hosts Tartu Welco in a quarterfinal matchup.

The match, scheduled for March 10, 2026, at Pärnu Rannastaadion, features two clubs with potent offenses but divergent recent form. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 3-0 victory for the home side.

Vaprus enters the contest following a strong finish to its autumn campaign, having defeated Tallinna Zapoos 4-2 on Oct. 29. The club demonstrated overwhelming firepower in earlier cup rounds, recording a 13-0 victory over Viljandi JK Tulevik on July 30 and a 9-0 win against Keila JK on Aug. 19.

Tartu Welco advanced with a 3-0 home win over Raplamaa on Feb. 5. However, its path has been inconsistent. The club’s season includes a staggering 16-0 cup win against JK Kuusalu Kalev on June 11 and a 6-0 victory at Poseidon on Oct. 15. But it also suffered an 8-0 league defeat to JK Narva Trans on July 25 and a 4-1 loss at JK Tabasalu on Aug. 17.

The head-to-head cup history between the sides is limited, adding an element of unpredictability. Tartu will rely on momentum from its latest win, while Pärnu will depend on home-field advantage and a more stable defensive record.

Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. local time (1600 GMT). The winner will advance to the cup semifinals, moving one step closer to the final held at A. Le Coq Arena in Tallinn.
