Rheindorf Alt II vs Wolfsberger

AP Sports Preview

VIENNA (Interstat) — Wolfsberger visits Rheindorf Alt II on Monday, May 4, in an Austrian Bundesliga matchup that carries playoff implications for both sides.

The teams met March 21, playing to a 1-1 draw at Wolfsberger. That result extended Rheindorf Alt II’s recent edge in the series: The home side won 3-1 on Nov. 22, 2025, and 2-0 on Aug. 2, 2025.

Wolfsberger enters with momentum after a 1-0 victory over Grazer AK 1902 W on April 25. That win snapped a four-match winless streak that included losses to B-W Linz (3-0 on April 21) and WSG Tirol (3-1 on April 4), as well as a scoreless draw with SV Oberbank Ried on April 11. Wolfsberger’s overall form shows three wins, three draws and four losses in its last 10 league outings.

Rheindorf Alt II, meanwhile, is struggling after dropping its last match 1-0 at home to TSV St Johann on April 25. That loss continued a difficult stretch: The club has lost four of its last five, including a 4-0 defeat to MS Korneuburg and a 3-0 loss to B-W Linz, both on April 24-25. A 2-3 loss to SV Oberbank Ried on April 3 and a 1-3 defeat to Bischofshofen on March 24 further highlight a leaky defense that has allowed multiple goals in seven of its past 11 matches.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 2-1 Wolfsberger victory.

Monday’s match is the penultimate home game of the season for Rheindorf Alt II, which then travels to SV Seekirchen on May 9. Wolfsberger also faces SV Oberbank Ried on the road May 9.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. local time.
