RANDERS, Denmark (Interstat) — Elies Mahmoud scored the only goal in the 62nd minute Sunday as Randers defeated Vejle BK W 1-0 in a Superliga women’s match at Cepheus Park Randers.
Mahmoud, a forward, netted the decisive strike after receiving an assist from substitute Giorgi Tabatadze. The goal came shortly after Vejle had been reduced to 10 players when midfielder Cyril Edudzi was shown a red card in the 28th minute for a foul that drew a straight ejection.
Vejle played shorthanded for the remainder of the match, though Randers did not break through until the second half. Randers midfielder Tobias Bach received a yellow card in the 43rd minute, and Tabatadze was also cautioned in first-half stoppage time in the 90th minute plus one.
