COPENHAGEN, Denmark (Interstat) — FC Kobenhavn opened its Superliga season with a 2-1 victory over Odense BK on Wednesday at Parken stadium.

Mads Emil Madsen put the hosts ahead in the 18th minute. Forward Jordan Larsson doubled the lead in the 41st. Odense substitute William Martin pulled a goal back in the 68th, but the visitors could not find an equalizer.

The result defied the 2-2 final score projected by Interstat’s game simulator, though its ELO system had favored Kobenhavn with a 57.3 percent win probability. Kobenhavn begins the campaign with a win, while Odense starts with a loss.
