ROME (Interstat) — Lazio and Parma opened their Serie A campaigns with a 1-1 draw Saturday at Stadio Olimpico.

Parma’s Enrico Del Prato opened the scoring in the 15th minute. Lazio equalized in the 77th when substitute Gabriel Strefezza assisted Tijjani Noslin’s goal. Strefezza, Pellegrino and Noslin received yellow cards.

The result defied pregame projections that heavily favored Lazio. Both clubs begin the Italian league season with a draw and remain unbeaten across all competitions.
