VENEZIA, Italy (Interstat) — A top-of-the-table clash in Serie B awaits Friday as league-leading Palermo visits second-place Venezia at Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo on May 8, 2026.

Palermo enters the match riding a two-game winning streak after a 2-1 victory at Ragusa on May 3. The Rosanero have been inconsistent of late, however, posting a 3-2 win over Catanzaro on May 1 but dropping a 3-1 decision against Savoia on Apr. 26. Overall, Palermo has won three of its last five matches, with two losses. The club’s season form has been uneven, with results including a 1-1 draw at Reggiana (Apr. 25) and a 3-2 win at Vibonese (Apr. 19), but also a surprising 3-0 loss at home to CastrumFavara on Apr. 12.

Venezia, meanwhile, remains unbeaten in 10 matches. The Arancioneroverdi most recently drew 2-2 at Spezia on May 1, following a 2-0 home win against Empoli on Apr. 25. Before that, Venezia rolled to a 3-0 victory at Bari on Apr. 18. The team’s last loss came more than two months ago, on Mar. 29 against Reggina. During their 10-match unbeaten run, Venezia has recorded five wins and five draws, highlighted by a 4-0 demolition of Cesena on Feb. 14.
