Mantova vs AC Monza

MILAN (Interstat) — AC Monza visits Mantova on Friday, May 1, 2026, in a Serie B match that pits one of the league’s hottest teams against a home side desperate to end a personal losing streak against its opponent.

Monza enters the contest at Stadio Danilo Martelli on a three-match winning run, all by shutout. The visitors defeated Modena 1-0 on April 24, followed by a 3-0 victory at Sampdoria on April 17 and a 2-0 win at Bari on April 11. The streak follows a draw-heavy patch in March that saw Monza tie Catanzaro 1-1, Venezia 1-1 and Reggiana 0-0. Overall, Monza has lost only once in its last eight league matches, a 2-1 defeat at Avellino on Sept. 12, 2025.

Mantova also carries positive momentum from a 3-0 win at Sudtirol on April 25. However, the home side’s form has been inconsistent. Prior to that victory, Mantova lost 2-0 to Avellino on April 18. The win against Sudtirol was Mantova’s third clean sheet victory in four matches, bookended by a 2-0 win over Spezia on April 12 and a 1-0 win over Virtus Entella on April 6. Before that run, Mantova had lost three of four matches, including a 2-1 defeat to Modena on March 21 and a 2-0 loss at Catanzaro on Feb. 14.

History favors Monza decisively. The visitors have won both recent head-to-head meetings, including a 1-0 victory at Mantova on Aug. 23, 2025. That result, combined with Interstat’s game simulator projecting a 1-0 Monza win, suggests a tight, low-scoring affair.

Mantova’s lineup features a defense that has posted five clean sheets in its last eight games but must solve a Monza attack that has scored in four of its last five matches. Monza’s back line has been stingy, allowing only one goal in that same span.

Following Friday’s match, Mantova travels to Frosinone on May 8.
