Suditrol vs Modena
BOLZANO, Italy (Interstat) — In a matchup of teams at opposite ends of the Serie B table, Suditrol and Modena played to a predictable 1-1 draw on Saturday at Stadio Druso.
The result, which mirrored the exact scoreline projected by Interstat’s game simulator, did little to alter the trajectories of the two clubs. Modena, sitting in the upper tier of the league, missed a chance to gain ground in the promotion race, while bottom-side Suditrol earned a hard-fought point in its battle to avoid relegation.
The visitors from Modena, who entered with a 58.50 percent probability to win according to Interstat’s ELO system, struck first. Substitute Simone Santoro broke the deadlock in the 21st minute, giving Modena an early advantage they would carry into halftime.
Suditrol found its equalizer on the hour mark, courtesy of a key contribution from a Modena player. Defender Nicola Pietrangeli, who would later be booked for a foul, scored an own goal in the 60th minute to bring the home side level. The assist on the unfortunate play was credited to Suditrol substitute Gady Beyuku, who also received a yellow card in the 63rd minute.
The match offered few clear chances thereafter, with both sides seemingly accepting a share of the points. The draw extends Suditrol’s struggles to find a winning formula; the club has now managed just two victories in 21 Serie B matches this season. Their overall record across all competitions dips to two wins, 11 losses and nine draws.
For Modena, the single point maintains its position as a contender but represents a slight stumble following a 3-1 loss to Bari on April 6. Prior to that defeat, Modena had been in strong form. The club’s Serie B record now stands at 12 wins, six losses and seven draws.
The result continues a trend of tight, low-scoring contests between these two sides. Their previous meeting this season on Nov. 23, 2025, also ended in a scoreless draw.
Modena must regroup quickly, facing a congested schedule with a road match at Catanzaro scheduled for Tuesday. They will then host Frosinone on April 18. Suditrol’s path does not get easier, as its next test is a trip to face Spezia on April 18, followed by a home fixture against Mantova on April 25.
