Bayern Munich Opens Bundesliga Season With Dominant Win Over Stuttgart
MUNICH (Interstat) — Bayern Munich opened its Bundesliga season with a commanding 4-2 victory over Stuttgart on Sunday at Allianz Arena.
The hosts overcame an early deficit after Stuttgart substitute Chris Führich scored in the 21st minute. Bayern responded with three goals in a decisive six-minute span before halftime. Raphaël Guerreiro equalized in the 31st, followed by Nicolas Jackson in the 33rd and Alphonso Davies in the 37th.
Harry Kane extended the lead to 4-1 in the 52nd minute. Stuttgart’s Chema, also a substitute, added a late consolation goal in the 88th. The result defied a pregame projection that heavily favored Bayern but forecast a closer match.
