SAINT-ETIENNE, France (Interstat) — Troyes defeated Saint-Etienne II 3-0 on Saturday, April 25, at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard in a Ligue 2 match.

Merwan Ifnaoui opened the scoring in the 53rd minute. Tawfik Bentayeb added a goal in the 89th minute, and Mathys Detourbet capped the victory in the sixth minute of second-half stoppage time. Bentayeb also assisted on Detourbet’s goal, while Martin Adeline and Mouhamed Diop each recorded an assist.

Troyes improved to 16-6-6 in Ligue 2 and 23-10-11 overall. Saint-Etienne II fell to 14-9-7 in league play and 23-23-17 across all competitions.

Yellow cards were issued to Martin Adeline in the 35th minute, Augustine Boakye in the 49th, Hillel Konaté in the 69th, Mouhamed Diop in the 79th, Tawfik Bentayeb in the 86th and Gautier Larsonneur in the 88th.

The result avenged Saint-Etienne II’s 3-2 win over Troyes on Nov. 8, 2025.
