FUNCHAL, Portugal (March 21, 2026) (Interstat) — Carlos Daniel’s 65th-minute goal lifted Maritimo to a 1-0 victory over UD Oliveirense in Segunda Liga play Saturday at Estádio do Marítimo.

The lone score defied a pre-match projection from Interstat, whose simulator had forecast a 1-1 draw. The same analytics system gave Maritimo a 90.10 percent probability to win.

The result gives Maritimo a winning start to its league campaign, moving to 1-0-0. Oliveirense begins its season 0-1-0. Both clubs’ records are identical across all competitions.
