FORLÌ, Italy (Interstat) — Andrea Franzolini scored twice in the first half to power FC Forli to a 2-0 victory over Torres Calcio in a Serie C match Saturday at Stadio Tullo Morgagni.

Franzolini opened the scoring in the 24th minute and doubled the home side’s lead just before halftime in the 44th. The result mirrored the teams’ last meeting in October, which Forli also won 2-0.

With the win, Forli opened its Serie C campaign with a victory. Torres, which has drawn nine of its 14 matches across all competitions this season, failed to find the net. The match was the Serie C season opener for both Italian clubs.
