AMMAN, Jordan (March 14, 2026) (Interstat) — Al Baqa’a SC opened its season with a decisive 4-2 victory over Sama Al Sarhan in a Jordanian League match Saturday at Petra Stadium. The home side’s attack overwhelmed the visitors, defying a pregame projection that favored Sama Al Sarhan.

Substitute Mohammed Sandouqa scored a crucial goal just before halftime, part of a three-goal first-half outburst for Al Baqa’a that included strikes from Hamzah Mahross and Alioune Mbaye. Khaled Assam added a second-half goal to secure the win. Sama Al Sarhan’s goals came from Khaled Sayaheen and Hamza Al Saifi.

The result gave Al Baqa’a a winning start to its league campaign, while Sama Al Sarhan began with a loss. Interstat’s pregame forecast had projected a narrow Sama Al Sarhan victory.
