PENAFIEL, Portugal (Interstat) — A stoppage-time equalizer from Rui Costa secured a 1-1 draw for Farense against FC Penafiel in a Segunda Liga match Saturday at Estádio Municipal 25 de Abril.

Bruno Pereira broke the deadlock for the home side in the 73rd minute, appearing to put Penafiel on course for a victory that statistical models heavily favored. Costa, however, delivered for the visitors in the sixth minute of added time, snatching a point.

The result leaves both clubs in the middle of the Portuguese second-division table. Farense now holds a record of 8-5-11, while Penafiel moves to 7-8-8 this season.
