HOIMA, Uganda (Interstat) — Kitara and Calvary played to a 0-0 draw in a Ugandan Super League match Wednesday at Hoima City Stadium.

The result extended Calvary’s winless streak, leaving it with only one victory this season. League-leader Kitara, heavily favored to win, was held in check despite its superior record.

Four substitutes were shown yellow cards in a physical second half: Stephen Oriokot in the 61st minute, Milton Afema in the 73rd, Kato Samuel Nemeyimana in the 82nd and Hadji Shukuru Barry in stoppage time. The match defied pregame projections that heavily favored a Kitara victory.

Calvary’s record in the competition is now 1-15-7. Kitara’s record stands at 13-4-4.
