Mbarara City vs Uganda Police FC
MBARARA CITY SEEKS HOME COMFORT AGAINST UGANDA POLICE FC
MBARARA, Uganda (Interstat) — Two sides desperate for points will meet Thursday when Mbarara City hosts Uganda Police FC in a Uganda Super League clash at Kakyeka Stadium.
The matchup comes with both teams looking to halt recent slides. Mbarara City (1-1-3 in its last five) is reeling from a 3-1 road loss to UPDF FC on April 9. Their home form has been particularly poor, with no wins and only two goals scored in their last five home matches across all competitions.
Uganda Police FC (1-2-2 in its last five) also seeks a turnaround after a 3-1 defeat at Express Sports on April 8. The lawmen have shown a stark contrast in results, capable of wins over top sides like SC Villa but also suffering heavy defeats, including a 4-1 loss to Vipers in January.
The head-to-head history suggests a tight affair. The last meeting ended in a 1-1 draw at Uganda Police FC’s grounds on Sept. 26, 2025.
Uganda Police FC’s season has been defined by volatility. They opened 2026 with impressive wins over KCCA and Calvary but have since struggled for consistency, including recent losses to NEC FC and BUL FC. Their road record is mixed, with a win, a draw and a loss in their last three away trips.
Mbarara City’s struggles are largely offensive. They have failed to score in four of their last ten matches and were thrashed 6-1 by SC Villa in January. Their lone victory in the last two months was a 1-0 road win at Calvary in February.
According to Interstat’s game simulator, Uganda Police FC is projected to secure a 2-1 victory.
Following this match, Uganda Police FC will host Uganda Revenue Authority FC on April 21. Mbarara City’s next fixture is at home against Maroons, also on April 21.
Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. local time Thursday.
